Welcoming Tony Marroney to Macro: Driving growth in the Americas
We are excited to welcome Tony Marroney to Macro as he steps into a key role as Operations Director to drive growth and strengthen our presence across the Americas.
With a diverse and accomplished background, Tony brings a wealth of experience spanning law, government, financial services, and commercial real estate. A qualified lawyer in New York and New Jersey, he started his career as a criminal prosecutor, where he found fulfilment in work that made a real impact on people’s lives. His journey then led him to Standard Chartered Bank, where he tackled anti-terrorism, anti-money laundering, and digital fraud investigations before transitioning back into the legal function and eventually into corporate real estate and FM - which is where he first encountered Macro.
During his time at Standard Chartered, Tony saw first-hand how Macro consistently delivered high-quality FM services, consistently overcoming challenges and always meeting budget expectations. He worked closely with the Macro team, particularly during the challenging period of early 2020, when New York became the epicentre of the COVID-19 pandemic. Despite the uncertainties, Tony witnessed Macro’s resilience, adaptability, and unwavering commitment to getting the job done - qualities that left a lasting impression.
A strategic vision for growth in the Americas
Now, Tony is bringing his deep network, industry insights, and leadership skills to Macro, focusing on unlocking new opportunities and expanding our footprint, particularly in the U.S. He sees tremendous potential in the Americas, where the demand for agile, high-quality FM outsourcing solutions continues to grow. With his strong connections, in New York and more broadly in the Americas, Tony is well-positioned to showcase Macro’s unique value proposition and help open doors to new partnerships.
Tony says “What sets Macro apart is its pragmatic, client-first approach. Whether delivering baseline FM services or premium, high-touch solutions, Macro’s ability to flex and adapt makes outsourcing approachable and effective for corporate partners.”
“Having been on the client side, I personally understand the challenges businesses face and I’m eager to bridge the gap - demonstrating how Macro consistently punches above its weight in the FM industry and why it’s a true contender in a market like New York and across the U.S.”
2025 and beyond
As the FM landscape continues to evolve, with shifting demands in major U.S. cities, Tony sees a golden opportunity for Macro to expand its reach and influence. Tony says, “Macro has the right leadership, values, and strategy in place, the future looks bright - and I’m ready to play a key role in facilitating new connections, driving business growth, and strengthening Macro’s position in the market.”
CEO Ross Abbate says “Tony’s deep expertise, strategic mindset, and first-hand experience as a former client make him an invaluable addition to our team. He truly understands the challenges and opportunities in the FM space, and we are excited to have him on board as we continue to grow.”
