Macro at WORKTECH New York Future of Work and the Workplace conference - October 8th

Macro is proud to sponsor WORKTECH New York, taking place at DC 37, 125 Barclay Street, on Thursday October 8th. As part of the sponsorship, Macro will be hosting a fireside chat exploring the role of Facilities Management in delivering a frictionless workplace.

This full-day conference brings together senior professionals from real estate, workplace, technology, and design to explore the future of work and the workplace.

WORKTECH X Macro

Back in April, Macro participated in WORKTECH Financial Workplace New York, contributing to discussions around The Friction Economy – How Facilities Management has become New York’s Workplace Performance Engine.

At the start of September, Macro and WORKTECH Academy launched The Friction Economy, a research report exploring the hidden operational barriers affecting workplace performance and revealing how everyday points of friction, from technology failures and maintenance issues to disconnected processes, can significantly impact employee experience and business outcomes.

Based on insights from 246 workplace leaders across New York, the report highlights the growing gap between workplace ambition and reality, and the increasingly important role Facilities Management plays in delivering workplaces that perform effectively in practice.

Session Spotlight: Invisible until it isn't: Facilities Management and the fight for a frictionless workplace

Continuing this conversation, Macro returns to WORKTECH New York on Thursday October 8th, with Amanda Muzzarelli, Macro Americas Operations Director, joining Kevin Persuad, Workplace and Facilities Leader at ON Running for a fireside discussion titled Invisible Until It Isn't: Facilities Management and the Fight for a Frictionless Workplace.

The session will explore the growing expectation among employees for a frictionless workplace, and why organisations can invest heavily in workplace design, technology and employee experience initiatives yet still struggle to remove the barriers that impact performance.

Attendees will gain insights into the invisible systems that influence workplace performance and learn why facilities management is increasingly becoming a strategic driver of workplace experience and organisational success.

Key discussion themes

  • The growing expectations employees have of the workplace
  • Identifying hidden sources of workplace friction
  • Bridging the gap between workplace strategy and operational delivery
  • The evolving role of Facilities Management in workplace experience
