Her appointment signals a deeper integration of insight-led, cross-functional solutions that deliver lasting value for clients, communities, and the business alike. In this interview, she shares what this new chapter means to her - and where she plans to take Consultancy next.

Congratulations on joining the Executive Management Team! What does this new role mean to you personally and professionally?

Joining the Executive Management Team is a real milestone, and one I don’t take lightly. Professionally, this role is an opportunity to help shape the future direction of the business, connect dots across functions, and influence decisions that have lasting impact, for our people, our clients, and the communities we serve.

Why do you think now is the right time to bring FM Consultancy into the heart of Macro’s leadership conversations?

Macro’s FM Consultancy team spans multiple disciplines - including Facilities Management, Capital Projects, and Responsible Business.

The breadth of skills within the team delivers real value: helping clients operate more efficiently, strategically, and sustainably. That means reducing costs without compromising on quality or compliance.

As a result, Consultancy has become a critical part of our client offering and a key driver of business value. The Board recognises this and is committed to embedding Consultancy more deeply into Macro’s growth strategy.

What’s your vision for the Consultancy offer at Macro, and how do you see it evolving over the next 12–18 months?

Our vision is to position consultancy as a core strategic enabler within the business - not just a support function. We aim to create a consultancy offer that is:

  • Insight-led, grounded in data and evidence.
  • Integrated, working seamlessly across functions and disciplines.
  • Adaptive, capable of flexing to evolving business needs.
  • People-centric, focused on culture, leadership, and capability-building alongside process and performance.

We don't just want to solve problems, we want to co-create future-fit solutions that build resilience, unlock potential, and deliver measurable outcomes.

Over the next 12-18 months we will build our internal capabilities and be broadening our scope to include:

  • ESG and sustainability advisory
  • Workforce and workplace futures
  • Digital strategy and innovation
How will being part of the EMT help strengthen the integration between consultancy services and operational delivery?

Being part of the EMT allows me to foster stronger collaboration across functional leads - connecting our consultancy services (from FM Consult and ESG strategy to workplace transformation) with the operational teams that deliver and sustain the change.

This integration is key to driving consistent, scalable impact for our clients. I’ll champion a joined-up approach where consultancy doesn't sit in a silo, but actively informs, supports, and accelerates delivery outcomes..

With your remit covering Responsible Business, FM Consultancy, and project management, what are your key priorities going forward?

My focus is on connecting purpose with delivery embedding Responsible Business principles, elevating FM Consultancy as a strategic driver, and ensuring project management supports effective, ethical, and future-ready outcomes.

Key priorities include:

  • Embedding Responsible Business into FM and project delivery: helping clients meet sustainability goals while reducing costs and improving long-term value.
  • Championing innovation: from smart building technologies to sustainability certifications and energy performance optimisation, we’ll focus on smarter use of space and assets.
  • Driving cross-functional integration: breaking down silos to deliver more aligned, impactful solutions for our clients.
  • Strengthening Project Management: ensuring excellence and consistency in delivery across all stages of the project lifecycle.

By aligning these areas, we can deliver more sustainable, strategic, and scalable outcomes for our clients.

How does Macro’s consultancy offer helping clients navigate complex challenges like workplace transformation or ESG goals?

We support clients through complexity with integrated, actionable, and future-focused consultancy. Our approach helps clients design spaces, systems, and cultures that are resilient, responsible, and ready for what’s next in the following ways:

1.      Workplace transformation that delivers value

We help clients rethink the workplace as a driver of performance and wellbeing. Our consultancy spans:

  • Workplace strategy and portfolio optimisation
  • Hybrid work models
  • Inclusive, user-centric design
  • Change management that enables adoption and builds capability

Grounded in data and global best practice, our work ensures transformation is inclusive, sustainable, and future proof.

2.       Enabling ESG goals through facilities expertise

Our roots in facilities and operations give us a unique advantage: we understand how to turn ESG ambitions into real, operational action.

Our consultancy services include:

  • Net-zero strategies for buildings and estates
  • Energy and waste audits tied to measurable improvement plans
  • Sustainable procurement and responsible supply chain models
  • Social value planning to ensure capital and operational projects benefit communities.

We help clients integrate ESG into their real estate and operational decisions, delivering not just compliance, but competitive advantage and brand integrity.

3.       Cross-functional and cross-sector expertise

Macro’s consultancy unites FM, capital projects, workplace strategy, and Responsible Business. We operate across sectors and geographies, offering benchmarked insights and tailored innovation - especially at the intersections where challenges often emerge.

What values or leadership principles guide your approach as you step into this broader role?

1. Customisation – We don’t do “off the shelf.” Our solutions flex to fit client culture, scale, and ambition.
2. Technology integration – Clients appreciate our tech-enabled but human-led service model.
3. Sustainability and wellness – Our leadership in ESG and people-focused design resonates especially with clients undergoing workplace evolution post-pandemic.

What excites you most about contributing to strategic decisions at the executive level?

What excites me most is the opportunity to help shape decisions that don't just solve today’s problems - but set the direction for where the organisation is heading over the next 3, 5, or even 10 years.

Contributing at this level means I can help align big-picture strategy with meaningful, sustainable outcomes. Being at the table means being able to influence not just what we do, but how we do it and why it matters - responsibly, strategically and with integrity.

Looking back on your journey at Macro so far, what are you most proud of?

No matter what I’ve thrown at them (and there have been a few curve balls!), the team has shown a consistent can-do attitude and a willingness to step up, support each other, and deliver.

It’s that mindset - collaborative, resilient, and solution-focused - that makes this team such a pleasure to lead.

What motivates you every day?

I’m motivated by purpose, challenge, impact, and the opportunity to work with great people on things that matter. It’s the combination of doing meaningful work and making a difference, both in outcomes and in how we get there - that drives me every day.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Spend time with my 4-year-old boy - and wherever possible (limited these days) get out on the road bike to clear the mind.
