At Macro, our people are at the heart of everything we do. The Engage, Empower and Wellbeing Survey offered invaluable insights into how our teams feel, where we excel, and where we can grow together.

With two-thirds of the Macro team participating, this year’s survey reflects a strong culture of openness and engagement.

The results paint a positive picture with overall satisfaction at 76% and employee engagement at 73%.

These findings reaffirm that Macro continues to be a place where people feel connected to purpose, supported by their managers, and empowered to contribute to collective success.

Our strengths: Purpose, teamwork and inclusion

The survey highlighted several areas where Macro shines, demonstrating a culture rooted in respect, collaboration, and shared vision.

  • Purpose and values:
An impressive 89% of employees understand Macro’s Purpose, Priorities, and Values our highest-rated result. This reflects how clearly our vision and purpose resonate across all levels of the organisation.
  • Teamwork:
87% of respondents agreed that “Within my team we work well together to get the job done,” highlighting a strong sense of collaboration and mutual support.
  • Manager support:
The “About Your Line Manager” section achieved an 83% average. Employees reported high confidence that: Their manager treats them fairly and with respect (87%) Their manager cares about their health and wellbeing (85%)
  • Inclusion:
82% of employees feel they can be themselves at work, and 85% say their manager supports that authenticity. This reinforces Macro’s commitment to fostering a culture where everyone belongs.

Areas for growth: Listening, recognising and developing

We believe that strong cultures are built on continuous improvement. The survey has highlighted areas where we can make an even greater impact by deepening our commitment to listening, recognising, and developing our people.

In the short term, our focus is on strengthening communication and collaboration ensuring every voice is heard, every contribution is recognised, and every individual feels valued. We’re also enhancing learning and development opportunities to help our teams build skills, confidence, and leadership capability across all levels.

Looking further ahead, we’re exploring ways to expand professional growth opportunities and ensure that our reward and benefits offering continues to evolve in line with the needs and aspirations of our global workforce.

By acting on what we’ve heard, we’re turning feedback into meaningful progress creating an environment where everyone can thrive, grow, and contribute to our shared success.

Our path forward: Turning insights into action

We’re committed to acting on the feedback we’ve received. Guided by our Executive Team, several initiatives are already in motion:

  • Global benefits review: A comprehensive evaluation of benefits across all regions.
  • Professional growth: Encouraging and supporting more internal applications and progression opportunities and enhancing training to upskill our employees.
  • Recognition in action: Expanding initiatives such as People Spotlights, WaveMakers Awards, Long-Service Recognition and the launch of our inaugural Global Value’s Awards later this year while exploring new ways to celebrate achievements across teams.

Listening today, building tomorrow

The 2025 survey reaffirms that Macro is a place where purpose drives people, and people drive progress. By listening, learning, and acting together, we’re not just measuring engagement; we’re deepening it.

We’re proud of how far we’ve come and even more excited about where we’re heading next.
